It was hilariously entertaining” Ken Russell, 2004 click images above for slideshow 'Dick Donkeys Dawn’ was formed in 1997 by Dick, Donkey and Dawn Brown and between 1997 and 1999, they produced songs, live performances and videos. Their live debut was at the Rockefeller centre in Oslo in October 1997, for 'Visual Artists Live on Stage' and performances quickly followed in Berlin and venues across Austria. Their second set of songs was performed in Europe during 1998. They filmed the 3D video for Boon and Mills in Vienna at the close of 1988 and edited this in London in 1999. Dick and Dawn also featured on the cover of ES Magazine in 1999, in an article on art school bands. The limited edition DVD ‘Dick Donkeys Dawn - remixes by Dick’ was released in 2004 and featured live performances, music videos and a documentary ‘The Story of Dick Donkeys Dawn’, which was shortlisted for the Ken Russell Short Film Award in 2004. The 3D video for 'Boon and Mills' was also exhibited in 'Video Hits, Art and Music Video' at Queensland Art Gallery, Australia in 2004.
