Selected 3D (Stereo) Photographs
As well as stereo photographs and videos, Dower has also made a number of sculptures with embeded, 3D stereoscopic views. The external form of these scale 'models'
mirrors the internal spaces being depicted.
Dower began experimenting with 3D photography and film in 1995. Stereo images are difficult to view without some form of technology and in order to edit 3D video,
Dower learnt a technique for viewing stereo images with the naked eye. In 1997 he made the stereo-3D video 'No Room in Hell (absent qualia)' for his first
solo exhibition at Matt's Gallery, London. In 1999 he completed another 3D video with his band Dick Donkeys Dawn.
